(Dis)comfort

Loneliness and social isolation can impact the physical and mental health of individuals as well as society and the economy of nations. Thus, it can be seen as a global issue related to discomfort in everyday life.

Psychology

I support Dr. phil. Nina Goldman in her new project for the WHO Commission on Social Connection. She is currently conducting a scoping review of national loneliness policies across 193 UN member states. I am involved in the evidence gathering and report writing.

Design

The outcomes will be presented in an online open-access policy tracker. The aim is to support national and regional policymakers, non-governmental organisations and interdisciplinary researchers.
