Concept

Debora's interventions are designed to benefit three levels: the individual perception, the interpersonal mediation and the institutional development. This multilevel intervention is built upon stories of elderly individuals from trans* communities in Amsterdam. Male-to-female-transgenders as well as male-to-female-crossdressers indicated difficulties in finding suitable clothing to express their desire. Debora's solution improved comfort, empowernment and visability of users. Also, from an economic and political point of view, the designer and psychologist identified a gap in the market as well as facilitated the exchange between different social groups.
